Rick Foster

Rick Foster

President & Founder

As a retirement income specialist and investment advisor representative, Rick Foster has been helping people protect and grow their assets for more than 20 years in the North Texas and Southern Oklahoma area. Rick likes to educate people about a better way to participate in bull markets while reducing their risk at the same time. Rick calls it "growing your money with guardrails." Rick believes in supporting the self-employed and small business communities. He has proudly served as President of the National Business Association since 2016. He also mentors a number of other financial advisors in the DFW area.

Rick combines his experience with a non-sales approach to retirement planning to help hundreds of clients find the best products available in the market today. By listening closely to each client's needs, he develops a unique plan that meets their individual goals.

Family Life

A Texan and a horseman, Rick, and his wife Brenda, raise quarter horses and cattle on their 55-acre ranch in Valley View along with their 4 dogs. They have 3 daughters and 11 grandchildren. When he is not busy raising his cattle and horses, Rick enjoys riding cutting horses, playing golf, and writing. He is a published author.

Executive Assistant

Kelly Berryhill is the Executive Assistant at Guardian Financial Management. She is the definition of embracing a family oriented company, being the daughter of Rick Foster. Kelly is a loving wife and mother to 4 children, Skye, Sara, Bailey and Jason. Alongside Kelly's dedication to the firm since 2017, she loves to spend time with her family, enjoys cooking, and having her very large, fury companion, Thor, by her side.


Matt Howard

Matt Howard

Associate Advisor

A family man at heart, understands the value of integrity, hard-work, and dedication. As a father of five children, Matt enjoys spending time coaching his son’s church league baseball and basketball teams.
He also enjoys bike riding with his family and spending time at the family ranch.

Matt attended the University of Arkansas and after receiving his degree began a career in the oil and gas industry. For over a decade Matt consulted for an accounting and reorganization firm in Dallas.

Working to unwind the impact of poor and even fraudulent financial activities for over a decade allowed him to see firsthand the devastating impact poor financial planning. Matt has a heart for service and his experience pushed him to a place where he can help people protect, invest, and grow their assets in a wise fashion.
